The Greater Boston Housing Report Card is an annual report published by the Boston Foundation, analyzing recent trends in the regional housing market and placing those trends within a broader historical context. For 2024, Isidor Studio was hired to revamp the report’s design to create a publication that emphasizes clarity and accessibility while presenting complex housing data and analysis.

The report card comprises two parts: a core metrics analysis authored by Boston Indicators and a special analysis of affordable housing development on publicly-owned land co-authored by the Boston University Initiative on Cities (IOC).

The overall design builds on the Boston Foundation’s existing brand standards and showcases a clean, modern layout featuring bold, color-coded sections that guide readers through its core metrics and special analyses. Infographics, charts, and tables are strategically integrated to visually represent data, making it easier to grasp trends discussed in the report.

Overall, the design reinforces the report's purpose: to communicate pressing housing challenges and actionable insights in a way that is engaging and accessible to a broad audience, from policymakers to the general public.
