The report provides an insight into who makes up Black Boston today, how that has changed over time, and how disparities by income and by wealth manifest across Black communities. Isidor Studio led the design of the report, which featured a warm golden palette, collage imagery, and bold lettering. The report is organized across four sections with numerous charts designed and integrated to visually communicate demographic trends. The overall design seeks to communicate a bold, yet gentle display of the report's content.
Preserving African American Places seeks to understand the implications of place-based injustice and their impact on the preservation of African American cultural heritage, as well as to identify preservation-based strategies for equitable growth and development that respect the historical and present-day realties and conditions of African American Neighborhoods.
